INTRODUCTION
As a company, Funka Mera Norden AB recognizes its corporate responsibility towards the people, communities and environment in which we and our suppliers operate. The conduct of Funka Mera Norden AB’s supplier network forms an integral part of our overall organizational conduct policy and sets out the principles and standards we expect all suppliers to uphold when conducting business related to Funka Mera Norden AB.
Our commitment to integrity, fairness and responsibility must be reflected in the actions, decisions and policies of our suppliers in order to maintain a sustainable, ethical and responsible supply chain.
This Supplier Code of Conduct aims to ensure that our business operations align with our organizational values and comply with all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards. Adherence to this Code is mandatory for all suppliers seeking to establish or maintain a business relationship with Funka Mera Norden AB. Failure to comply may result in a review of the business relationship and, where appropriate, the termination of contracts.

COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS AND REGULATIONS
All suppliers, including suppliers’ subcontractors (companies subcontracted by our direct suppliers), must fully comply with all applicable local, national and international laws and regulations governing their business operations. This includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
- Labor Laws and Regulations. Suppliers shall comply with all applicable labor laws and regulations, ensuring fair treatment of workers, lawful wages, reasonable working hours and safe working conditions. This Code encourages suppliers to go beyond legal compliance by promoting social responsibility, environmental stewardship and ethical business practices in accordance with internationally recognized standards.
Funka Mera Norden AB does not tolerate any form of human rights violations. Suppliers are expected to implement practices that ensure a respectful, inclusive and safe workplace. All employment relationships shall be based on lawful, written agreements and all employees shall be treated with dignity and respect.
- Environmental Laws. Suppliers shall comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and standards related to waste management, emissions, chemical handling and the protection of natural resources. Suppliers are expected to identify and adhere to all relevant environmental requirements, use natural and other resources efficiently and maintain appropriate operational controls to prevent or minimize adverse environmental impacts. Chemicals and hazardous materials must be handled, stored and disposed of safely, responsibly and in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Anti-Corruption Laws. Suppliers shall comply with all applicable anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws and regulations and maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption in all its forms. Bribery, facilitation payments, kickbacks or any other form of unethical or improper advantage is strictly prohibited. Suppliers shall never offer, pay, solicit, accept or facilitate bribes or engage in any corrupt practices in the conduct of their business.
Suppliers must maintain accurate and complete records sufficient to demonstrate compliance with applicable laws and this Code of Conduct and shall provide such records to Funka Mera Norden AB upon request.
ETHICAL PRACTICES
Ethical conduct is fundamental to a successful and sustainable business relationship. Suppliers are expected to conduct their operations responsibly and with integrity, including, but not limited to the following principles:
- Integrity and Honesty. Suppliers shall conduct business in a transparent, ethical and honest manner and ensure that all transactions are accurately, timely and fairly recorded in their business records. False, misleading or incomplete entries in any documents or records are strictly prohibited. Suppliers are expected to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and to maintain effective controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of their records.
- Conflict of Interest. Suppliers shall avoid any situations in which personal, financial or other interests or relationships could create a conflict of interest or compromise objective and independent business decision-making in relation to Funka Mera Norden AB. Employees and representatives shall not participate in or influence decisions where an actual, potential or perceived conflict of interest exists without prior disclosure and written approval, nor shall they misuse their position or relationship for personal gain or improper advantage.
- Gifts and Hospitality. Any exchange of gifts, hospitality or other benefits must be reasonable, modest and consistent with customary, lawful and ethical business practices. Gifts, cash, hospitality or other advantages must never be offered, given, requested or accepted with the purpose of obtaining improper influence or an undue business advantage. Rebates, commissions, sponsorships and donations shall be transparent, accurately recorded and legitimate. All gifts and hospitality must serve a bona fide business purpose and comply with applicable laws and anti-corruption requirements.
LABOR PRACTICES
Funka Mera Norden AB expects suppliers to uphold the highest standards of human rights and labor practices, including the following:
- Child Labor and Forced Labor. The use of child labor, forced labor, slavery or human trafficking is strictly prohibited. Suppliers shall not engage in or support the use of child labor, forced labor, slavery, servitude or human trafficking in any form. A “child” is defined as any person below the minimum legal age for employment as defined by applicable laws in the country where the work is performed. Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations concerning minimum working age, youth employment, student workers and compulsory education and shall ensure that all work is conducted voluntarily, without threat, coercion or exploitation.
- Non-Discrimination. Suppliers shall provide a workplace free from any form of discrimination or harassment. Equal employment opportunities must be ensured for all employees and applicants for employment, without regard to race, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, religion, political affiliation, union membership, marital status, or any other characteristic protected under applicable laws and regulations. Funka Mera Norden AB expects its suppliers to comply with all applicable anti-discrimination and equal employment legislation and to actively promote diversity, inclusion and fair treatment in the workplace.
- Health and Safety. Suppliers shall provide and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all employees in accordance with applicable occupational health and safety laws, regulations and industry standards. Suppliers must implement effective preventive measures, training programs and risk management processes to prevent work-related injuries, illnesses and accidents. Workplace hazards shall be proactively identified, assessed, mitigated and monitored and safe working procedures shall be established, maintained and continuously improved.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
Funka Mera Norden AB is committed to sustainability and expects suppliers to share this commitment by integrating responsible environmental practices into their operations, including:
- Resource Management. Suppliers are encouraged to use resources, including water, energy and materials, efficiently and to actively work to reduce their environmental footprint. Measures such as using energy-efficient equipment, minimizing chemical use and responsible sourcing of raw materials are encouraged. By implementing these practices, suppliers contribute to sustainable resource use and the reduction of environmental impact.
- Waste Management. Suppliers shall handle, sort and dispose of waste in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and local requirements. Suppliers are expected to promote waste reduction, reuse and recycling, select materials and packaging with lower environmental impact and ensure that hazardous waste is clearly identified, segregated and managed safely.
- Sustainable Practices. Suppliers are encouraged to adopt environmentally friendly technologies and practices, including energy-efficient production processes, recycling programs, reduced paper usage and pollution prevention measures. Suppliers shall take reasonable steps to protect biodiversity, conserve natural resources and prevent environmental harm wherever applicable.
PRODUCT SAFETY
Funka Mera Norden AB sets high standards for product quality and safety and expects suppliers to fully comply with all applicable chemical and product safety regulations. All supplied products and articles must comply with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH), including the following requirements:
- Substances restricted under REACH Annex XVII shall not be used in products supplied to Funka Mera Norden AB.
- Suppliers must confirm REACH compliance for all substances and products. Non-EU suppliers shall provide written confirmation of REACH compliance.
- Chemical substances shall be registered with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) where required.
- All REACH-related documentation shall be accurate, complete and retained for at least ten (10) years, as required by law.
- Up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS) shall be obtained and maintained.
- Suppliers shall identify and manage Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) in accordance with REACH requirements. Products, articles or packaging containing SVHCs listed on the REACH Candidate List must be reported to Funka Mera Norden AB.
- In accordance with Article 33(1) of REACH, suppliers must inform recipients of articles containing SVHCs above 0.1% weight by weight (w/w) and provide sufficient information to ensure safe use, including at a minimum the name of the SVHC.
Funka Mera Norden AB aims to eliminate the presence of SVHCs in its products and commits to cooperating with suppliers and customers to ensure REACH compliance throughout the supply chain. Suspected non-compliance must be reported immediately. In the event of claims, Funka Mera Norden AB reserves the right to full compensation for financial losses and related expenses.
OTHER REGULATIONS
Products placed on the EU market must comply with all applicable EU and Swedish product safety, labelling and conformity requirements, including but not limited to:
- Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive (EC) No 94/62/EC (where applicable)
- Biocidal Products Regulation (EU) 528/2012 (where applicable)
- Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC (where applicable)
- EU Toy Safety Regulation (EU) 2025/2509 (where applicable)
MONITORING AND COMPLIANCE
Funka Mera Norden AB may conduct compliance assessments or surveys to verify adherence to this Supplier Code of Conduct. Suppliers are expected to actively monitor and audit their own operations and management processes related to this Code and to provide relevant documentation upon request.
Funka Mera Norden AB reserves the right to terminate agreements with suppliers that fail to comply with this Code. Continued cooperation is contingent upon a supplier’s commitment to these principles and ongoing efforts to improve compliance and performance.
AGREEMENT
By entering into a business relationship with Funka Mera Norden AB, suppliers acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to comply with this Supplier Code of Conduct. Suppliers are encouraged to communicate and train their employees and subcontractors on the principles set out in this document to ensure effective implementation and compliance.
Funka Mera Norden AB appreciates the commitment of its suppliers to these standards and looks forward to long-term partnerships built on mutual respect, responsibility and integrity.
